Installation – The Art and Science of Planting Vineyards

Vine Planting RL SupervisionFairhaven not only maintains the largest supply of container vines in the southwest, but is also the premier company for vineyard design and installation. Our installation division completes an average of 100 planted acres each year.  Our projects range from our minimum of 1 acre, to 90 acres on any single installation. Each installation is carefully planned from the consultation phase, to site assessment, soil testing, water testing, hydraulic design, soil preparation, trellis construction, planting, site staff training, and warranty. This specialized service, rendered by licensed, trained professionals is the gateway to a beautiful, fully functional vineyard that will produce abundant quantities of grapes for sale to the grape market.

THE CONSULTATION PATHWAY

Phase One- Analysis of the project will involve a critical look at the environmental aspects of the proposed vineyard. The areas of study will include, water requirements, water chemistry, soil types, soil analysis, permitting requirements, cost estimates, varietal requirements, labor intensity, cash flow, and market options.

Phase Two- Formal planning stage includes, site surveying, formal plan page construction of the vineyard, service roads, drainage systems, trellis systems, hydraulic design, irrigation design, control system design, state permitting, varietal layout, and production matching.

Phase Three- Installation.
