American hybrid (CLVB) between Salado and Pense. Large clustered, 22mm berries. Nearly perfect juice chemistry even under the most difficult conditions. Highly heat and drought tolerant. Demonstrates a high degree of disease tolerance. Adapts well to a wide range of soil conditions. Suitable for use in high calcium soils. Somewhat ozone sensitive near urban centers. Prolific under good growing conditions. Wine has very fresh fruit flavor and displays a deep purple color. Makes an outstanding dry red table wine. Pairs well with beef, grilled vegetables, or chocolate deserts.
